A lawn dethatcher is a harder sell than a standard mower—most buyers don't immediately know they need one. For this Mellif electric dethatcher project, the photography brief was to explain the machine's function and technology while showcasing the bold yellow-and-black design that positions it as serious yard equipment.

Making the Technology Visible

The Mellif's key differentiators—a 650W brushless motor reaching 3,000 RPM, Air Boost Technology, and spring-loaded dethatcher tines—are internal features that need visual storytelling to land. We used a combination of cutaway-style renders and outdoor lifestyle shots to communicate each point:

Ergonomics and Adjustability

The three-position handle (37 / 40 / 44 in) is a feature that resonates strongly with different-height users. We captured a measurement diagram showing all three heights simultaneously alongside an inset of the one-touch height-adjustment knob—a simple visual that communicates user-friendliness without lengthy copy. The full AI-enhanced outdoor set places the mower in a pristine suburban front yard, letting the dramatic yellow chassis stand out against the fresh-cut green lawn.

For outdoor power equipment, pairing technical cutaway detail with aspirational lawn imagery creates the dual appeal buyers need: confidence in performance and excitement about results.
